Distance Education leader Ashworth College gives back to local community.

NORCROSS, Georgia – Ashworth College continues its community service endeavors through its support the Atlanta Community Food Bank “Kids In Need Program.”

During the week of July 27, Ashworth administration and staff will donate new school supplies for area teachers in low-income schools.

“As an educational institution, we appreciate the need for students to have all tools necessary to succeed,” said Melissa Maddox, Business Services Manager. “The Ashworth staff is extremely excited to help.”

Throughout the year, Ashworth makes a concentrated effort to support worthwhile causes to include Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and March of Dimes.

About Kids In Need
For a school to qualify, at least 80% of the students must be enrolled in the federal free and reduced lunch program or, for high schools, have combined average SAT scores lower than 900. There is no cost to teachers or schools. The Kids In Need facility is reminiscent of a retail store and is continuously stocked with school and art supplies for grade levels Pre-K through 12.
