This group works to "reduce or eliminate existing or potential policy barriers to distance learning activities in three broad areas: access, quality, and cost. Some of the topics addressed in this publication include meeting student needs, and the delivery of high-quality, just-in-time services for distance learners.

This particular issue offers links to institutions that provide a wide variety of online student support services. The list is divided into different categories, and they range from institutions that provide comprehensive online directories and handbooks of services to self-assessment tools to online orientations to students to other types of services.
