A student enroled with the School, like any other Regular Student of the University of Delhi, studies the same syllabi and curricula, takes the same Examination and is awarded the same Degree by the University.

Medium of Instruction

English and Hindi are the media of instruction for History, Political Science, Economics, Sanskrit, Education, Nutrition and Health Education and Commerce. The medium of instruction for Mathematics is English. For teaching English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil and Punjabi, the medium will be the language concerned.

The applicant should clearly mention the choice of medium of instruction at the appropriate place in his/her Application Form for Admission.

Method of Instruction

The syllabus for each paper is divided into suitable number of lessons. Lessons are prepared by experienced teachers and cover the entire course prescribed by the University of Delhi. They are sent to the students at regular intervals (provided fee is paid on due dates as mentioned in the Prospectus). After a student has studied the lessons and the recommended readings, he/she is expected to prepare answers to the attached Response Sheets and send them to the School for correction and suggestions. Corrected Response Sheets are returned to the students with the teacher's comments and suggestions. Through this process a student receives instruction in organising his ideas clearly and correctly. Students find correspondence study economical and convenient because they can learn while they earn. Instruction through lessons is supplemented by Personal Contact Programmes arranged during the course of the year at different centres, and through talks broadcast by the All-India Radio, Delhi.

Personal Contact Programme

Personal Contact Programme includes regular classroom lectures and discussions at various places for a specified period ranging from 25 to 30 days in a year. (Admission seekers are required to fill up the Enclosed Post Card for attending the P.C.P. classes.
